Lib Dems back Chris Nelson to fight for real change in Wellingborough & Rushden
The House of Commons has voted for a snap General Election to be held on the 8th June and the Liberal Democrats have chosen Chris Nelson to once again contest the Wellingborough & Rushden constituency against hard-right Conservative MP Peter Bone.
“The people in this area now have the chance to vote Liberal Democrat for a real change in Wellingborough & Rushden constituency and to ensure Britain has a decent opposition”, said Chris Nelson, Liberal Democrat candidate for Wellingborough & Rushden constituency.
“For all those who want properly funded health and care services, to protect our local economy by staying in the Single Market and giving the people the final say on the deal or who want to say no to the Conservatives’ schools cuts, the best choice for real change is now to vote Liberal Democrat.”
“In June last year the people of Wellingborough voted for our country to depart the European Union, but they didn’t vote for the extreme destination of a hard Brexit that Theresa May is hell bent on and which will damage our economy, cheered on by our hard right Brexiteer MP Peter Bone.”
“Whether you used to vote Conservative, Green, Labour or have even never voted at all, I’m asking you to lend us your votes on June 8th to send a clear message to Number 10 that we can’t be taken for granted. Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party can’t win this time and the Conservatives don’t deserve to; only the Liberal Democrats are providing a real opposition working for a Britain that is open, tolerant and united.”
